French + Italian

March 31, 2012

I had the good fortune of working on a photo shoot for French +Italian this week in Marblehead, MA.  The owner of the boutique, Aimee Lombardi, hand picks pieces of clothing inspired by her trips abroad and her love for European lifestyle and sensibility.  I am so excited for her website to launch, so that you can get a closer peek into her world of beautiful fabrics, textures and colors.

Thanks to the brilliant team: stylist, Melissa Damelio and hair/make-up, Mariolga of Define : Beauty– both at TEAM. Model: Chelsea Pratt @ Click

Book cover: These Girls

January 9, 2012

My photograph on the cover of Sarah Pekkanen’s new novel, These Girls.

For the last installment of Loeffler’s Holiday series, I photographed the lovely Christene Barberich, Editor In Chief of Refinery 29.  We shot two great local stores: Brooklyn’s Mafalda and Bright Lyons. Click here to see the whole story:

I had the pleasure of shooting musician, Eleanor Friedberger of the Fiery Furnaces for the 3rd installment of Loeffler Randall’s Holiday DIY project.  In this post, Eleanor put together a mix of songs to listen to and you also can enter to win a selection of records and a LR gift card.

I photographed the very talented Jenny Mortsell for Loeffler’s 2nd installment of DIY Holiday. See here for full story and pictures.

I have been working with Loeffler Randall on a four part series for their HOLIDAY 2011 series.  For this project I’ve been able to  photograph some very creative young NY women engaging in their own holiday projects. Check out LR blog to see the first story: Denise Porcaro of FLOWER GIRL NYC gives instructions of how to make a beautiful wreath with succulents out of the back of her shop that she shares with Earnest Sewn on the Lower East Side.

Jen Kao/Paper Cut

September 12, 2011

I wasn’t planning on shooting any shows at Fashion Week this year but I got a call from a friend who wanted to connect me to the women behind the amazing handmade paper creations of the Paper-Cut-Project. The founders,  Amy Flurry and Nikki Salk worked in collaboration with Jen Kao for her S/S ’12 show and I was so impressed to see the beauty they had created. Here are a couple of shots from backstage before the models were papered up.
